This is for an SSE position at a site in the Denver area (fee paid on site opportunity).

Responsibilities/Unique Conditions:

Current TS/SCI or ability to attain. Provide system level support for the full line of SGI equipment. Perform system installations, repair, and assist with ongoing hardware and software on-site support in an HPC environment, alone and as a member of a team. Duties are at a 7x24x365 site. Rotating 12 hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holiday work are required. Provide logistics support and record keeping using a variety of customer and SGI standard processes. Participate in customer meetings. Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, taking ownership and being accountable are key success factors.

Education and/or Equivalent Experience (including tech. and non-tech. capabilities):

BS in Computer Science/Engineering. Two to seven years system level experience with hardware repair in an HPC environment. Experience with Unix, Irix, Linux, Windows, C, and scripts. Experience with storage systems and SANs. Root cause analysis experience. Time management skills. Self motivated. Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
