Instrumental, Inc. is seeking experienced system architects and analysts interested in being a part of a strong enterprise computing consulting company. This position will eventually include all aspects of advanced technical computing and marketing activities.

A complete understanding of HPC computing, including I/O architectures and requirement analysis, RAID configurations and performance optimization is essential to support the data intensive environments of our customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of industry experience in the following areas:

Project planning

Strong analytical skills

System integration and capacity planning

System and application benchmarking and optimization

File system and HSM architecture, concepts, analysis and tuning

Programming (C/C++, FORTRAN, UNIX, NT, etc.)

Technical sales and marketing

Additionally, “hands on” experience with multiple platforms such as Cray, Sun, SGI, IBM, etc. is desired. Application development and optimization experience would be a plus.

Abstract thinkers familiar with stochastic modeling with a background in statistics or mathematics is highly desirable.

Excellent communication skills are a plus, as this position will require marketing of Instrumental’s services and presentations to diverse customers. Travel will vary based on customer needs.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Work will be performed in the southern California area.
